Photo: House Oversight Committee
On Friday (December 12), Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a new set of photos from the estate of the late Jeffrey Epstein. These images include high-profile figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, businessman Bill Gates, and director Woody Allen. However, the photos do not suggest any illegal activities by these individuals.
The release is part of an ongoing investigation into Epstein's connections with powerful figures. The committee received approximately 95,000 photos, but only 19 were made public on Friday. The photos show Trump with unidentified women, Clinton with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and Gates with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
House Oversight Committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Robert Garcia, emphasized the need for transparency, urging the Department of Justice to release all Epstein-related files.
A spokesperson for the Republican-led Oversight Committee criticized the release, accusing Democrats of "cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions to create a false narrative about President Trump."
The release comes ahead of a December 19 deadline for the Department of Justice to release its own files on the Epstein investigation, following legislation passed by Congress. The Justice Department has yet to respond to requests for comment on the matter.
