Four-Year-Old Girl Pretends To Be Asleep During Murder-Suicide

A four-year-old girl was the lone survivor of a murder-suicide that happened in her home while she pretended to be asleep in her room. According to Fox News, Dornubari Dugbor called 911 and told police they would find three bodies at his home in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri.

Police said Dugbor shot and his killed fiancée Katrina Banks and her 15-year-old son, Kevin Johnson before turning the gun on himself.

FOX2 St. Louis reports that before he took his own life, Dugbor's daughter came out of her room after she heard gunshots. She saw her mother's dead body on the floor, and her father told her to go back to her room. The girl hid in her room, pretending to be asleep while her father killed himself.

Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Chief Jeremy Ihler said the young girl "was close enough to the event where she heard the gunshots."

“Sadly, she'd heard the awful tragedy play out,” Ihler told FOX2. “She was close enough to the event where she heard the gunshots and heard other scuffles and talk during the event and I would imagine a 4-year-old is going to be scared from this type of event. I feel for her greatly.”

The girl was evaluated at a local hospital and will be put into the custody of relatives.
