A vandalized billboard had a stark warning for the National Rifle Association following a high school shooting in Florida that left 17 people dead. According to Fox News, the billboard, which sits on a major highway in Kentucky, was painted over with the words "Kill The NRA."
The NRA shared the photo on its Facebook page, saying the vandalism is a "wakeup call."
Here’s an image from Kentucky, this morning. To all American gun owners, this is a wakeup call. They’re coming after us. Like and share to spread the word.
The vandalized billboard was also tagged with the message "Resist 45," which appears to reference an anti-Trump group that has vandalized other billboards in Kentucky over the past year. A Facebook page associated with the group has been deleted.
A spokesperson for the billboard company told the Courier-Journal the writing was "immediately removed" from the billboard.
